Die FETE (Federation of Existential Therapies in Europe) veranstaltete 2024 bereits zum fünften Mal ihre jährliche Konferenz. Dieses Jahr fand sie in Istanbul statt. Das Daseinsanalytische Institut wurde dabei von unserem Präsidenten Stephan Dietrich vertreten - mit folgendem Vortrag:

The Bridge to Oneself

"Building Bridges" - This lecture will take a close look at the two terms from a phenomenological point of view to better understand their relevance for psychotherapeutic practice. Building is an essential characteristic of human beings that refers to their dwelling in the world. Man dwells as he builds, says Heidegger, and the meaning of all building is dwelling. Building bridges is a particularly interesting dimension of psychotherapy, because bridges create spaces and make room for ... (räumen). Bridges are connecting inter-spaces that enable people to depart from and arrive at themselves and each other. Building bridges and thereby opening new free spaces refers to the existence of man as Dasein, as a lifelong making room for himself (Einräumen) in the openness of Being (Sein). Building bridges is therefore always a crossing over (Über-setzen) or translating into the unknown but still one's own because we only build bridges to where we are naturally drawn.
